Reimagining community spaces by travelling through time
Love Wolverton began when the forward-thinking developers at TOWN sought to regenerate Wolverton’s Agora building. The building had been disused for a long time, and occupied a large portion of the town centre.
BlockBuilders built present and future models of the Agora to demonstrate the projected changes in an interactive way. Both models were shared with 90 young people from local schools during three days of workshops.
In a typical workshop, young people would explore the plans and make in-game comments before inputting their own creative ideas.
Their proposed designs included architectural statements, greenery, water features, recreation areas, allotments and an assortment of amenities including a supermarket, a trampoline park and a florist.
